Jey Arul, BA, MBA
Principal


Jey Arul founded AJS Capital in 2007 to assist entrepreneurs and business owners across a range of sectors with business financing, business valuation planning and selling their businesses. Prior to starting AJS Capital, Jey owned a small business in Edmonton. He sold the business in 1998, spent the next few years as a commercial banker with one of the major Canadian chartered banks and was continually being promoted to more senior positions that served larger corporate clients. Jey later became Vice-President of mergers and acquisitions with a national accounting firm. After working within a variety of sectors, Jey decided to focus on financing, valuations and selling privately owned small to mid sized businesses.

Educated both in Singapore and Canada, Jey holds a Bahelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Business. Jey has completed the Canadian Securities Course and is also licensed Commercial Real Estate Associate in the Province of Alberta, Canada. Tai Ng, CA, CFP (M'sia)
Business Advisor


Tai is a CA trained in United Kingdom. After a series of successful public accounting practice
in UK, Tai returned to his native country of Malaysia. In Malaysia worked as a Controller and CFO for various companies over the years ranging in revenues from $2.5million to $50 million. In his last position as a CFO for a large boiler manufacturing facility, Tai spearheaded the process of taking the company to go public.

Tai moved to Canada in 2008 and joined AJS Capital at about the same time. Tai help clients in making their business more saleable, increase its goodwill value and optimize their operations in order to achieve the maximum price for the business. Tai is also actively involved in completing business goodwill valuations and implementing systems and processes in a business.

During his off work hours, Tai is an avid golfer and plans to explore the great Canadian outdoors more.



Dawn M. Fahr, B.Admin
Business Advisor


She has lived on the Queen Charlotte Islands to Newfoundland to the Northwest Territories and many places in between. This distinct experience has enabled Dawn to be adaptable, personable and have a unique ability to deal with a variety of people in situations.

She has a Business degree from the University of Regina and continues to her ongoing personal development. Her personal goals drive her business goals.

Dawn has many years of business experience including a consulting company in which she worked with entrepreneurs expanding their business across Canada and the United States. She also assisted her clients with their marketing and operations to increase profits. Dawn also has an extensive experience of over 10 years in the commercial leasing business. She has worked for two of the largest retail developers in Canada - Ivanhoe Cambridge and Cadillac Fairview as their Regional Manager for Western Canada. Throughout a career, Dawn has also been involved in raising capital for various real estate development projects.

Dawn is a sales professional who enjoys going the "extra mile" for her clients. She uses team work and brainstorming to to create "win-win" solutions. Her passion is in meeting new people and building strong relationships.

During her free time, Dawn enjoys hiking, kayaking, reading, volunteering and spending time with Nicholas and her friends.


Neil Gerritsen
Business Advisor

Neil is a highly engaged Business Advisor with over 23 years of progressive experience in Banking, business operations and business development. Neil is a result oriented professional with extensive experience instituting and overseeing a full scope of marketing and client based initiatives.

Neil brings a strong passion for helping clients achieve their goals and dreams in their business. Neil spent 21 years in the banking industry in a variety of roles from Auditor to Branch manager to Regional Sales Manager. Neil is educated as a business coach as well as a Certified Facilitator. Neil is a certified net worker who enjoys meeting people and helping them in any way possible.

In Neil’s spare time he enjoys all sports as well as spending time with his 2 daughters and wife Cindy. Presently Neil is the President of Football Alberta. One of Neil’s other passions is travel. He has had the opportunity to travel throughout Europe and the U.S and Canada.
